About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and operate endpoint management platforms including Microsoft Configuration Manager/SCCM, Microsoft Intune, and Jamf
- Partner with endpoint engineering, service desk, application delivery, cybersecurity, and field support teams
- Design, scale, and operate services managing Windows and macOS devices across the organization
- Own the full service lifecycle, including platform health, infrastructure reliability, policy and configuration management, operating system deployment, Autopilot, Jamf workflows, compliance reporting, and automation
- Use platform data, logs, and operational telemetry to identify root causes and restore service
- Improve monitoring, standards, and durable automation so fixes remain effective
- Set technical direction and shape the endpoint management roadmap
- Define standards for scalable device management, secure configuration, deployment reliability, and service performance
- Mentor other engineers
- Lead and represent the Service in backlog discussions and standups
- Influence software engineering team members in translating customer and technical requirements into service architecture meeting Quality of Service Expectations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 years of related experience in systems administration; more preferred
- Experience in automation related to deployment, recovery, or other manual processes
- Experience with n-tier solutions
- Experience with resilience modeling, including failure mode analysis
- Ability to simulate service outages for automated point solutions and platforms manually
- Experience influencing software engineering team members to translate customer and technical requirements into service architecture
- Experience leading and representing the Service in backlog discussions and standups
- Experience in a healthcare environment preferred
- 5 or more years of Information Technology experience preferred
- 3 or more years administering Windows and macOS management platforms, including Intune, Microsoft Configuration Manager/SCCM, and Jamf preferred
- Strong experience with Git/GitHub source code version control preferred
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and systems management preferred
- Must reside within a daily commuting radius of up to 65 miles from an eligible Providence primary office location
