About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for insurance and eligibility verifications and assessment of financial requirements of recommended treatments
- Counsel the patient on insurance benefits, co-payments, and out of pocket expenses
- Obtain any required preauthorization for procedures, treatments, and admissions
- responsible for obtaining grants and drug assistance programs to support the patient's financial needs and provide access to care
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's Degree in Accounting, business administration, or related field --or-- An equivalent combination of training and experience
- 2 years of prior background in a healthcare setting of billing, financial counseling, or financial advocacy with proficiency in medical terminology
