About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Educates and supports Providers and staff by providing ongoing coding training
- Conducts random chart audits and provides direct feedback to providers
- Investigates and answers provider coding questions
- Reviews various data/reports and provides additional feedback
- Routinely visits Providence Medical Groups (PMG) clinics and attends clinical meetings
- Stays current with annual updates to CPT and ICD-10 and HCPCS codes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Upon hire: National Certification from American Health Information Management Association Or
- Upon hire: National Certification from American Academy of Professional Coders
- 2 years Experience in medical insurance reimbursement, medical billing and coding related to charge review and work RVU’s
- Experienced in reviewing patient account information, insurance explanation of benefits, computer screens, and financial records.
