Key responsibilities & impact

Educates and supports Providers and staff by providing ongoing coding training
Conducts random chart audits and provides direct feedback to providers
Investigates and answers provider coding questions
Reviews various data/reports and provides additional feedback
Routinely visits Providence Medical Groups (PMG) clinics and attends clinical meetings
Stays current with annual updates to CPT and ICD-10 and HCPCS codes.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Upon hire: National Certification from American Health Information Management Association Or
Upon hire: National Certification from American Academy of Professional Coders
2 years Experience in medical insurance reimbursement, medical billing and coding related to charge review and work RVU’s
Experienced in reviewing patient account information, insurance explanation of benefits, computer screens, and financial records.
