About the role
- Perform all types of billing, collection and follow up functions for direct, third party and government patient accounts
- Serve as a resource and trainer to others in the area with minimal supervision
- Identify and respond to claim denial trends, posting error trends and/or complex inquiry calls for routing
- Research claims using payer management guidelines and systems to identify correct coding and prevent filing deadline issues
- Analyze various reporting and report findings to the appropriate leader to ensure compliance
Requirements
- 2 years Patient Accounting experience in a physician office, hospital, or medical collections or equivalent knowledge and ability to execute essential functions of this job description
- Extensive Customer Service Skills
- Computer application proficiency

- Preferred: 1 year of college coursework/training or equivalent education/experience
- Preferred: Business experience
- Preferred: Medical Business Office experience in a physician office or hospital
