About the role

  • The Program Manager is accountable for large, complex projects and multiple related projects in the areas of clinical informatics; physician practice implementations; quality improvement and other strategic projects.
  • Manages all aspects of projects and programs with direct accountability to the Executive Sponsor and Project Management Department leadership.
  • Responsible for the oversight of multiple strategic projects and programs, partnering with other Project Managers/Coordinators to accomplish the work.
  • May be responsible for providing some direction to Project Managers/Coordinators assigned to the different programs.
  • May be responsible for the direct supervision of 2 or more Project Managers/Coordinators assigned to the program.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree Applicable field of study.
  • Upon hire: CAPM and PMP certification, Project Management Professional designation (PMI) Certification
  • 7 years Experience in information technologies, project management, healthcare administration or clinical field.
  • 3 years Expertise and experience with Project Management methodology based on Project Management principles.
  • 1 year Demonstrated ability in leading multiple diverse and complex projects or programs.
  • 1 year Demonstrated management skills and the ability to work effectively to build relationships with executive management, department managers and project managers.
  • 1 year Experience facilitating complex decisions making among multiple executive stakeholders with different interests and priorities is essential.
  • Experienced in vendor / contract management and negotiations.
  • Demonstrated experience in business development and/or strategic and tactical planning and execution including marketing, communications and financial planning.
  • Demonstrated experience as a speaker in a professional presentation environment, such as conferences and association meetings.
  • Experience developing and implementing benchmarks and metrics in support of improved quality and process design.
