About the role
- Securing appropriate patient account reimbursement by obtaining complex demographic, insurance, and medical information
- Identifying services requiring authorization for treatment and referral information
- Adding proper documentation to reflect the work in Epic
- Effectively communicate with internal and external customers including medical providers, clinic staff, and insurance companies
Requirements
- 1 year experience in customer service, hospital billing, or healthcare registration
- Clerical and computer experience
- Coursework/Training Some college level course work
- Coursework/Training Satisfactory completion of college level Medical Terminology or Medical Assistant course
- 1 year Healthcare experience in a hospital or clinical setting, health insurance or medical office
