About the role
- Crafting and maintaining test cases
- Validating specifications
- Ensuring adherence to QA best practices, standards, and tools
- Analyzing and evaluating systems to optimize processes and solve technical challenges
- Driving the design, development, and implementation of testing standards and methodologies
- Mentoring junior QA engineers
- Collaborating with users and testers to define requirements
- Acting as a subject matter expert in Agile ceremonies
- Influencing testing strategy for high-quality solutions that meet compliance standards, KPIs, and organizational goals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field -OR- a combination of equivalent education and experience
- 8 or more years of related experience
- Hands-on experience with creating test plans and test cases
- Experience with TFS, Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft Test Manager (MTM), Microsoft Office tools suite, T-SQL, Claims
- Some experience writing SQL queries to support testing efforts with a demonstrated ability to handle complex joins
- Experience with automation tools like SOAPUI, Selenium and/or HP Rational
- Experience in at least one software automation language such as C#, VB, Javascript, Perl, Python or any scripting language
- Extensive experience in SQL, including complex database operations for use with testing needs
- Experience creating stored procedures
- Experience in the Health Insurance industry
- Experience with the Facets data system
