About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Involved in both office and field responsibilities
Function as part of a team under the direction of the Cultural Resources Program Manager
Contribute to proposal development, budgeting, scheduling, and research design
Prepare and review site forms, and technical reports
Ensure projects are conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and professional standards
Supervise field activities, such as conducting archaeological monitoring, site recording, pedestrian and subsurface surveys, and data collection
Additional responsibilities may include laboratory analysis and data management

Requirements

What you’ll need

M.A./M.S. degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field
Must meet the Secretary of Interior’s professional qualifications standards for archaeology and be an RPA or be eligible to become an RPA
Minimum of 5-7 years of professional archeological experience
Experience in cultural resource management (CRM), with prior experience in Southeastern United States
Experience conducting and/or overseeing field crews
Demonstrated experience preparing technical reports, site forms, and project documentation
Familiarity with federal, state, and local cultural resource regulations
Ability to work in both office and field settings, including variable outdoor conditions
Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and tasks concurrently
Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an insurable driving record
