About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Involved in both office and field responsibilities
  • Function as part of a team under the direction of the Cultural Resources Program Manager
  • Contribute to proposal development, budgeting, scheduling, and research design
  • Prepare and review site forms, and technical reports
  • Ensure projects are conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and professional standards
  • Supervise field activities, such as conducting archaeological monitoring, site recording, pedestrian and subsurface surveys, and data collection
  • Additional responsibilities may include laboratory analysis and data management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • M.A./M.S. degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field
  • Must meet the Secretary of Interior’s professional qualifications standards for archaeology and be an RPA or be eligible to become an RPA
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of professional archeological experience
  • Experience in cultural resource management (CRM), with prior experience in Southeastern United States
  • Experience conducting and/or overseeing field crews
  • Demonstrated experience preparing technical reports, site forms, and project documentation
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local cultural resource regulations
  • Ability to work in both office and field settings, including variable outdoor conditions
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and tasks concurrently
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an insurable driving record
