About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Involved in both office and field responsibilities
- Function as part of a team under the direction of the Cultural Resources Program Manager
- Contribute to proposal development, budgeting, scheduling, and research design
- Prepare and review site forms, and technical reports
- Ensure projects are conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and professional standards
- Supervise field activities, such as conducting archaeological monitoring, site recording, pedestrian and subsurface surveys, and data collection
- Additional responsibilities may include laboratory analysis and data management
Requirements
What you’ll need- M.A./M.S. degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field
- Must meet the Secretary of Interior’s professional qualifications standards for archaeology and be an RPA or be eligible to become an RPA
- Minimum of 5-7 years of professional archeological experience
- Experience in cultural resource management (CRM), with prior experience in Southeastern United States
- Experience conducting and/or overseeing field crews
- Demonstrated experience preparing technical reports, site forms, and project documentation
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local cultural resource regulations
- Ability to work in both office and field settings, including variable outdoor conditions
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and tasks concurrently
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an insurable driving record
