About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare and review complex cost/price proposals in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) or other solicitations, ensuring alignment with FAR/DFAR requirements and company policies
  • Lead pricing efforts for competitive proposals, identify price targets, perform risk/reward trade-off analyses, and develop pricing tactics.
  • Ensure all pricing submissions comply with federal regulations, contract types (e.g., FFP, T&M, CPFF, FP-LOE, FP-LH, CPAF), and internal policies.
  • Perform cost/price modeling, estimates, and analyses for complex contracts, including internal and customer submittal files.
  • Assist in contract administration, rate analysis, and profitability reporting by product/service and customer.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (capture, finance, legal, technical) to interpret solicitation requirements, identify risks, and develop competitive solutions.
  • Review of the cost/price proposals of others to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of government contracting experience, preferably in CPFF or other cost-reimbursable environments.
  • Understanding of federal contracting procedures, FAR/DFAR, cost accounting, allocation, and financial controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, proposal software, and familiarity with government contracting systems.
