About the role
- Protocol Behavioral Health provides cancer-specific behavioral health treatment embedded in oncology clinics via the Collaborative Care Model
- Deliver evidence-based treatments (CBT, DBT, ACT, etc.) to oncology patients via telehealth (video and phone)
- Conduct structured assessments and develop modular treatment plans
- Implement treatment modules and perform ongoing progress assessment
- Maintain a patient registry aligned with Collaborative Care Model requirements
- Participate in weekly consultation meetings with consulting psychiatrist
- Communicate and collaborate with oncology teams and attend care coordination meetings
- Maintain a patient caseload targeting 65% patient-facing time
- Utilize between-session messaging, engage in supervision and training
- Maintain and obtain state licensure as required (Protocol covers licensure costs)
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted, and independent license to provide mental health treatment from at least one US state
- Will consider pre-licensed candidates for Pacific and Mountain time zones
- Ability to work an Eastern Time schedule
- Ability to support a caseload of patients with varied diagnoses, backgrounds, cultures, and acuity
- Ability to deliver care in a virtual setting
- Experience with patients with oncology and/or chronic/serious medical conditions
- Experience supporting patients with suicidal ideation and/or trauma
- Spanish or Mandarin proficiency a plus
