About the role

  • Act as the primary technical contact for multiple customer system landscapes, serving as their focal point for all SAP-related matters.
  • Lead the planning, architecture, and solutioning of SAP technical migrations, upgrades, implementation projects, and steady-state support models.
  • Advise customers on the optimal and efficient execution of SAP migrations, implementations, and operations on Public/Private Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
  • Oversee the implementation and operational support of SAP Business Suite products, including S/4 HANA, C/4, BW/4 HANA, with expertise in deployment planning, installation, post-installation, system release support, and coordination with functional teams.
  • Deliver Basis support for S/4 HANA, C/4, BW/4 HANA conversions, upgrades, migrations, and OS/DB conversions.
  • Provide high-level DBA and SAP Basis support for HANA DB, including implementation, upgrade, administration, operations, and performance management.
  • Lead the implementation and ongoing operational support of SAP Fiori and S/4 HANA solutions.
  • Manage OS/DB/Platform/Cloud migrations, with experience in at least 2 to 3 projects.
  • Provide expertise in SAP Business Suite (ERP, SRM, CRM, PLM, APO), NetWeaver stack (AS-Java), and BOBJ administration, including performance management, client/system refreshes, and other Basis tasks.
  • Offer support for NetWeaver stack (ABAP/BW/BI/PI/EP/GRC), including technical upgrades and operational support.
  • Provide troubleshooting and setup support using Solution Manager for monitoring alerts.
  • Manage all non-HANA DB administration and operations (Oracle, MSSQL, DB2, Sybase, MaxDB), with a minimum of 2 non-HANA DB exposures.
  • Provide implementation consulting for Single Sign-On solutions in SAP landscapes, including HANA and BOBJ.
  • Mentor and guide colleagues and L2 teams in delivering L3 SAP Basis support.
  • Have a basic understanding of SAP Cloud Platform tools and SAP Cloud Connector.
  • Own and manage customer communications for SAP Managed Services, ensuring a smooth delivery of services.
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs, including system availability, incident resolution, and system recoverability (100% - backups and disaster recovery).
  • Manage and negotiate service windows for maintenance-related changes with customers.
  • Prepare customer-specific technical procedures and reports, ensuring alignment with Protera standards.
  • Prepare and present monthly reports, with interactive discussions on key performance indicators (KPIs) and exceptions.
  • Lead ad-hoc meetings for customer delivery and drive continuous improvement in SAP technology services.

Requirements

  • 10 to 12 years of technical experience in SAP Technical Architecture, including Public Cloud platforms.
  • Strong expertise in SAP Managed Services, including technical account management and operational execution.
  • Proficient in SAP Basis administration, including SAP system administration, NetWeaver, and HANA administration.
  • Extensive experience with SAP Business Suite, S/4 HANA, C/4, BW/4 HANA, and Fiori implementation and support.
  • Solid experience with cloud migrations and OS/DB/Platform management (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • In-depth knowledge of non-HANA database administration (Oracle, MSSQL, DB2, Sybase, MaxDB).
  • Ability to manage large-scale SAP migrations and implementations, both on-premise and in the cloud.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of SAP security concepts and Single Sign-On (SSO) for SAP landscapes.
  • Ability to mentor and lead teams, with a focus on L3 Basis delivery.
  • SAP certifications in SAP Basis, NetWeaver, SAP HANA, and SAP S/4 HANA administration or migrations.
  • Experience with SAP Managed Services on cloud platforms is highly desirable.
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with the rapidly evolving SAP industry and cloud technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to participate in and manage projects across diverse teams, cultures, and geographies.
  • A bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field (or higher).
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English.
