About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and book monthly financial statements for assigned warranty companies, including cash transactions, accruals, and investment activity
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including outstanding receivable and payable balances
- Calculate financial ratios and net worth runoff metrics to support regulatory and financial review needs
- Prepare quarterly and ad hoc financial performance and review materials for internal and external stakeholders
- Act as a liaison between Protective Life, warranty company ownership, and investment advisors to support compliance with state insurance laws and regulations
- Work directly with external owners to provide requested financial data and reporting
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance reporting processes and leverage technology
- Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, or equivalent educational background
- Experience preparing or supporting financial statements
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment
