About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Prepare and book monthly financial statements for assigned warranty companies, including cash transactions, accruals, and investment activity
Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including outstanding receivable and payable balances
Calculate financial ratios and net worth runoff metrics to support regulatory and financial review needs
Prepare quarterly and ad hoc financial performance and review materials for internal and external stakeholders
Act as a liaison between Protective Life, warranty company ownership, and investment advisors to support compliance with state insurance laws and regulations
Work directly with external owners to provide requested financial data and reporting
Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance reporting processes and leverage technology
Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, or equivalent educational background
Experience preparing or supporting financial statements
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency
Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment
