About the role
- Provide basic transactional support to callers including answering policy questions and updating personal information
- Engage with customers over the phone, gather and verify sensitive information, and process requests efficiently
- Transfer callers to SME/specialist representatives for complex matters
- Complete necessary compliance testing and stay up-to-date with industry regulations
- Identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience and participate in team initiatives
- Identify systemic issues, escalate appropriately, work within specialized skill groups, and manage email queues
- Exercise sound judgment in an environment involving sensitive customer information
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience required
- 1 year of experience in the financial services or insurance field
- 1 year of inbound call center experience highly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Windows PC experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Proficiency with multiple computer systems and ability to learn new programs quickly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer focus and attention to detail
- Effective decision-making and time management skills
- Ability to multitask using verbal and technical skills while on the phone
- Flexibility to work any shift within the contact center (Central timezone)
- Quiet, dedicated workspace and reliable high-speed internet connection
- Availability Monday-Friday, 7:30am – 5:00pm CDT
