Key responsibilities & impact

apply statutory and regulatory requirements to real world claims scenarios across insurance products, escalating novel or complex issues as appropriate
conduct targeted legal and regulatory research and provide clear, operationally focused guidance to claims and servicing partners
support regulatory compliance efforts, including participation in complex claim investigations in collaboration with Claims, Legal, and Compliance teams
review estate related documents (such as trusts, powers of attorney, divorce decrees, and court orders) to support accurate and compliant claim determinations
assist with Market Conduct exams and regulatory inquiries by coordinating information and drafting or reviewing responses for state insurance departments
develop training materials, job aids, and reference tools to support consistent claims handling and operational procedures
analyze data to identify trends and support performance improvement recommendations within claims operations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
1–3 years of experience in legal research, regulatory compliance, insurance operations, or a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical guidance
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and sound judgment
Ability to work independently within established frameworks while collaborating effectively across teams
