Key responsibilities & impact

leading the valuation and financial reporting of the Universal Life (UL) product lines
overseeing the preparation and review of Stat, GAAP, and Tax reserves
managing quarterly valuation and earnings analysis
ensuring sound model governance and SOX control execution
providing leadership to actuarial students and valuation team members
partnering closely with Finance, ALM Actuarial, Risk, and other internal actuarial teams
supporting ongoing model, process, and reporting enhancements
maintaining well-controlled valuation processes and models
dedicating approximately three weeks each quarter to financial reporting activities
focusing remaining time on team leadership, model maintenance, and ad hoc analysis

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree required.
ASA or equivalent designation required, FSA designation preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a credentialed actuary within the insurance industry.
Prior staff management or mentoring experience a plus.
