About the role
- Lead the drafting, refinement, and maintenance of policy forms and contracts
- Oversee state filings through SERFF and I‑File
- Provide expert guidance to internal partners on regulatory impacts
- Maintain knowledge of state‑specific filing rules
- Manage, coach, and develop compliance team members
- Foster a collaborative, high‑performance environment
- Partner with various departments to deliver compliant forms and filings
- Provide strategic insight to senior management regarding regulatory trends
- Represent Protective in industry groups and trade associations
Requirements
- 10+ years of insurance experience with a focus in regulatory or product compliance
- Experience with group life and health products
- Form drafting and state filing experience
- Proficiency with SERFF (System for Electronic Rates and Forms Filing) and I‑File
- Leadership experience managing and developing teams
- Strong communication, negotiation, organizational, and technical skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
