About the role
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Monitor daily bank activity and match transactions using reconciliation systems
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve reconciling items and obtain documentation
- Use Cadency software (Cadency Match, Cadency Certification) and SAP to streamline reconciliation processes and improve efficiency
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies using critical thinking and financial research
- Prepare journal entries and reports to maintain ledger integrity
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Analyze financial trends and recommend process improvements
- Assist with internal and external audit documentation
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Participate in team projects and serve as backup for team members
- Maintain organized and accurate documentation of reconciliations and journal entries
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or directly related discipline
- 3+ years of experience in reconciliation accounting
- Cadency certification preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous professional growth
- Understanding of ledger balancing and financial research processes
- Familiarity with reconciliation systems (Cadency, Cadency Match, SAP) preferred
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliation tools
