About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- You will co-own projects from their earliest stages through to launch.
- Finding the clearest way to explain what a product does and why it matters.
- Developing its name, positioning, voice and visual identity.
- Turning an engineering prototype into something coherent, distinctive and ready to be shared.
- Creating product narratives, launch concepts, presentations, films, demos and brand assets.
- Working with engineers and product owners to simplify complex ideas.
- Using design, writing, image-making, motion and emerging AI tools to bring ideas to life.
- Rapidly testing different creative directions and improving them through iteration.
- Knowing when something needs a complete creative idea—and when it simply needs restraint, clarity and better typography.
- You will often be the only dedicated brand creative in the room, but never a service department. You will be an equal member of the team building the product.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently enrolled in a university or higher education program (design, branding, communication, visual arts or related field), with some hands-on experience in brand, design or creative production — through coursework, personal projects, freelance work or a prior internship.
- Experience helping build a brand or product identity, including areas such as naming, positioning, visual direction, voice or storytelling
- Evidence that you have shaped creative work rather than only applying an existing set of guidelines
- Strong visual judgment and attention to typography, composition, image-making and presentation
- The ability to translate complex or technical ideas into simple, compelling communication
- Confidence working independently and presenting a clear creative point of view
- Hands-on experience with one or more tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva
- A portfolio that demonstrates both ideas and execution.
- Experience using AI tools for writing, image-making, prototyping, video or production (valuable, but not required)
- Familiarity with tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Ideogram, Runway, Sora, Kling or ElevenLabs (valuable, but not required)
- Photography, filmmaking, editing or motion-design experience (valuable, but not required)
- Knowledge of Premiere Pro, After Effects or DaVinci Resolve (valuable, but not required)
- Experience in a startup, agency, product studio or early-stage environment (valuable, but not required)
- An interest in product design, interfaces and emerging technology (valuable, but not required)
- Experience building quickly with imperfect information and limited structure (valuable, but not required)
