About the role
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of Power BI reporting architecture
- Redesign and modernize financial and operational dashboards
- Leverage the newly built data mart to create efficient, scalable data models
- Partner with FP&A and business leaders to define key KPIs and deliver reporting that drives strategic insight
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity through consistent validation and reconciliation practices
- Gather and translate business requirements into clear, actionable visualizations
- Collaborate across IT, Finance, and Operations to deliver tailored reporting solutions
- Define and implement best practices for semantic models, DAX, and data flows
- Set up and maintain Power BI security roles, RLS, and governance frameworks
- Troubleshoot and optimize Power BI reports and data sources
- Document Power BI development standards, templates, and processes
- Provide training and support to end users and stakeholders
- Mentor and coach junior team members as needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Power BI development
- Proven track record of delivering projects from scratch in complex, multi-department organizations
- Strong understanding of Power BI architecture
- Expert-level skills in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling
- Solid experience with SQL, data warehouses, and ETL processes
- Strong grasp of data governance, access control, and row-level security
- Experience working with or integrating data from Workday is a plus.
