About the role
- Act as the Engineering Job Leader for the Electrical discipline, serving as the primary technical lead responsible for the development, coordination, and quality of electrical engineering deliverables in offshore projects.
- Provide technical leadership for the electrical discipline by defining scope, priorities, execution strategies, and technical standards for projects.
- Develop, review, and approve electrical documents and studies, including Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), load lists, short-circuit studies, arc flash studies, protection coordination, and harmonic analysis.
- Review, validate, and technically approve electrical deliverables produced by internal teams or subcontractors, acting as the technical authority for the discipline.
- Ensure compliance with technical standards, applicable regulations, and classification society requirements (ABS, DNV, BV, among others).
- Manage technical interfaces with other disciplines (Process, Instrumentation, Naval, Structural, Automation), ensuring project integration and consistency.
- Act as the technical focal point with the client, participating in technical meetings, critical reviews, and decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with Longitude’s global teams, supporting international projects and promoting standardization, continuous improvement, and technical knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Solid experience in electrical engineering for offshore projects, preferably in FPSOs and production platforms, with prior experience as a technical reference or technical lead for the electrical discipline.
- Deep knowledge of international technical standards (IEC, IEEE, API, NORSOK) and classification society requirements.
- Experience with electrical study software (e.g., ETAP, SKM, PowerFactory or similar).
- Fluent English (mandatory), with the ability to communicate technical information in an international environment.
- Availability for travel and occasional offshore mobilizations, in-person meetings, and technical support for onshore and offshore projects.
