About the role
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the People team and contribute to a positive employee experience
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions and support tickets, providing timely and empathetic responses
- Help manage onboarding workflows and paperwork, prepare new hire documents, conduct initial orientations
- Support recruiting by reviewing applications, conducting initial candidate screen calls, and scheduling interviews
- Maintain and update employee records in HRIS, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Assist with benefits administration including enrollment, changes, terminations, reconciliation, and employee support
- Contribute to planning and coordinating employee engagement activities and events
- Prepare and distribute HR-related communications and policy updates
- Provide administrative support including HR-related invoicing, calendar management, and preparing presentations
- Support compliance with labor laws and regulations by assisting with audits and record-keeping
- Assist in identifying opportunities to enhance and streamline People Operations processes
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in a human resources or administrative support role
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a high degree of empathy and discretion when handling sensitive employee information
- A solid understanding of HR principles and practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent related experience
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) or Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Comfort with learning new software systems
- Prior experience with any of the tools in our HR tech stack (UKG, Zendesk, Ashby, Lattice, Notion, Workramp) (preferred)
- A relevant professional certification, such as SHRM-CP (preferred)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US; sponsorship not available
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week, M-F)
