About the role

  • Drive growth through Managed Service Providers (MSPs) in California by prospecting, acquiring new clients, and managing existing accounts
  • Identify, develop, and continuously manage a network of MSP partners and distributors in the USA
  • Support onboarding of new partners and foster long-term relationships
  • Organize and deliver training for sales partners and implement/promote the MSP partner program
  • Drive creation and execution of partner business plans and develop accurate forecasts to achieve sales targets in California
  • Represent Proofpoint at industry events, fairs, and partner forums; present solutions
  • Collaborate internally with Sales, Marketing, and other teams; serve as trusted point of contact for partners
  • Play a vital role in driving revenue growth and customer success

Requirements

  • Candidate must reside in California
  • Experience selling to MSPs
  • Strong IT knowledge gained through education, academic study, or equivalent experience—ideally within IT security, SaaS, or cloud services.
  • Minimum of five years’ professional experience in IT
  • Direct experience in partner account management or channel sales with MSPs
  • Demonstrated success in developing and growing sales partners and distributors in California with measurable business impact
  • Excellent communication skills; confidence to engage with partners, customers, and internal stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel regularly and represent Proofpoint in presentations, partner meetings, and negotiations
  • Collaborative team player with an international mindset, strong organizational skills, and ability to set priorities
  • Motivated by success, with a passion for achieving quarterly targets and driving partner-led growth
