Senior Manager, QA Engineering

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Recruit, onboard, and develop a high-performing QA team based in Athens
- Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Mentor QA engineers and support their professional development
- Oversee day-to-day QA operations, ensuring efficient test planning and execution
- Establish and maintain QA processes, standards, and best practices
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases
- Provide weekly status reports to HQ in Sunnyvale, including progress, risks, and key metrics
- Act as the primary point of contact for on-site QA engineers, addressing concerns and enabling success
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and leadership teams
- Ensure QA activities and deliverables are aligned with company roadmap and top management priorities
- Identify risks early and proactively propose mitigation strategies
- Contribute to release planning and quality strategy at a global level
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role
- Proven experience building and scaling QA teams
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and automation frameworks
- Experience working in a distributed/global environment
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across time zones
- Detail oriented organizational and reporting skills
