About the role

  • Target accounts in a region and be based in NY/NJ region
  • Establish strong business relationships at the executive level
  • Advanced solution selling capabilities and conducting sales presentations
  • Coordinate multiple resources within an account while consistently closing business
  • Penetrate net new accounts and expand presence with existing customers
  • Partner with the channel organization to secure new share of the security market
  • Team with Sales/Systems Engineering to prepare account strategies and deliver product demos and proof of concept programs
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineering and channels to introduce Proofpoint to new customers and expand within existing customers
  • Meet and exceed sales quotas

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a field sales role selling to large enterprise organizations
  • Experience as a trusted advisor to CISOs, CIOs and other C-level executives
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Experience selling Enterprise Security or Information Technology products preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized, detail and process oriented
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and use good judgment in resolving difficult issues
  • Experience with SalesForce or similar CRM tools strongly preferred
  • BA/BS or equivalent preferred
