About the role
- Analyze advanced email attacks to understand the tactics and techniques used to bypass defenses.
- Translate insights from malicious emails into new detections using our threat intelligence infrastructure.
- Label and categorize threats to support research and refine our detections.
- Collaborate closely with other engineering teams to improve detection accuracy and efficacy.
- Partner with the Inbound Product team to enhance the customer experience and response workflows.
- Write code in Python and use SQL to query and interpret datasets.
- Contribute to internal blogs and briefings, sharing emerging threats and showcasing the team’s work across the organization.
Requirements
- Experience in a security-focused role with, ideally with experience in an email security field.
- Ability to break down ambiguous problems into structured, actionable solutions.
- Hands-on skills with Python and SQL for analysis and research.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Enjoyment for solving complex challenges.
- Clear communicator with a professional presence, who takes a high degree of ownership over their work.
- Has strong listening skills; open to input from other team members and departments.
- Works well in a team environment and has strong collaboration skills.
