About the role

  • Establish strong business relationships at the executive level.
  • Conduct sales presentations and coordinate multiple resources within an account.
  • Successfully close business for Proofpoint.
  • Penetrate net new accounts and expand presence with existing customers.
  • Partner with the channel organization to secure new share of the security market.
  • Team up with Sales/Systems Engineering to prepare account strategies and outstanding product demos.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a field sales role selling to large enterprise organizations.
  • Ideally experience selling Enterprise Security or Information Technology products, but other industries welcome.
  • Proven and demonstrable track record of exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, detail and process oriented.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and use good judgment in resolving difficult issues.
  • Experience with SalesForce or similar CRM tools strongly preferred.
  • BA/BS or equivalent preferred.
