About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct analyses of insurance and investment activities to inform executive decision-making and governance bodies
Develop, prepare and monitor budgets, financial forecasts and variance analyses to support organizational performance
Produce profitability analyses, financial scenarios and recommendations to support strategic projects and growth initiatives
Prepare and write reports tracking the value creation of projects and organizational investments
Monitor and analyze the performance of the investment portfolio and make optimization recommendations when required
Prepare financial analyses and reports for management and governance bodies
Develop, produce and refine performance indicators and dashboards that enable proactive management of organizational performance
Monitor the financial performance of the organization’s various divisions and explain key variances
Act as a business partner to managers by supporting them in analyzing results and making decisions
Recommend and implement improvements to processes, analytical tools and the quality of financial data

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (major in Finance or Accounting), Actuarial Science or another relevant field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
Hold a CPA, CFA or ACIA designation (as applicable)
Knowledge of property and casualty insurance (valuable asset)
Excellent command of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel (advanced level)
Knowledge of Power BI (asset)
Knowledge of Workday (asset)
Ability to transform complex data into clear, action-oriented recommendations
Strong analytical, synthesis and problem-solving skills
Recognized for initiative, intellectual curiosity and the ability to generate innovative, value-creating ideas
Build trusted relationships and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to act as a business partner to managers
Demonstrate strong rigor, autonomy and a well-developed sense of organization
Good command of French and an intermediate level of English, both spoken and written
