Accounting Technician

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform data entry and processing of accounting records for various entities
- Support the team with month-end close activities and contribute to the preparation of financial statements
- Perform general ledger and bank account reconciliations
- Prepare tax-related reports
- Participate in the preparation of financial reports and support certain financial analyses
- Contribute to the improvement of accounting processes and internal controls
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Assist in preparing tax filings for certain entities
- Perform any other accounting and finance-related duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- DEC in Administrative Techniques (Accounting and Finance concentration) or equivalent education
- Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced level)
- Knowledge of Workday software — an asset
- Ability to work in a computerized environment
- Excellent team spirit and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and strong attention to detail
