About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Contribute to the development, analysis and updating of rates for product lines serving the Atlantic market
  • Analyze the technical and financial performance of portfolios (profitability, loss experience, risk segmentation)
  • Adapt pricing models and parameters to regional, regulatory and competitive realities
  • Participate in rate review exercises, regulatory filings and post-implementation monitoring
  • Work closely with underwriting, product teams and data & analytics teams
  • Document and present results in an accessible manner to support decision making
  • Participate in continuous improvement, modernization or automation projects for actuarial practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline
  • Actively progressing toward, or already holding, the ACAS / AICA designation
  • 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in property & casualty pricing
  • Strong understanding of: pricing principles, claims experience, and profitability and competitiveness issues
  • Comfortable with data analysis tools (advanced Excel required; R, SQL or Python an asset)
  • Ability to work with remote partners in an interprovincial context
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Bilingualism (French and English) required
