About the role

  • Design and deliver efficient and reusable frontend systems, orchestration layers, and components that will directly impact thousands of monthly users.
  • Collaborate with designers and project managers to develop a compelling end-user experience on our web applications.
  • Experiment with new design patterns, tooling, and frameworks and advocate for ways they can improve our applications.
  • Identify and resolve issues in the product to maintain a high quality bar for our work.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to define services and APIs that the frontend consumes (and contribute backend code yourself when needed to unblock projects)
  • Use modern web tools like React, Typescript, and GraphQL to streamline data flow from backend services to web pages and guide users through flows.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in frontend software development building impactful user interfaces, preferably working in startups or other highly dynamic environments.
  • A heartfelt commitment to creating software that centers around equity and accessibility.
  • Proficiency with modern frontend programming languages and web technologies. While we use React/Typescript, we are looking for people who can write good frontend code regardless of framework.
  • Proven track record of working independently and making decisions without direct oversight.
