About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install, configure, and manage Epic Hyperspace, Epic-specific print services, Interconnect, and related client system components.
- Monitor and maintain system performance, availability, and security of Epic applications.
- Support Citrix, VMware, or other virtual delivery platforms used to provide Epic access.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Epic client applications, end user access, and environment stability.
- Collaborate with technical teams, application analysts, and vendors to support upgrades, patches, and new releases.
- Create and maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, and configuration records.
- Manage and maintain Epic print services, including deployment and troubleshooting of printers within Epic.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Provide on-call support as needed for production issues.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and security requirements.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Epic Client Systems Administrator certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience supporting Epic client applications and infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Experience with Citrix, VMware, or similar virtualization technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for application and system performance issues.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, and load balancing.
- **Preferred Skills**
- Experience with healthcare IT systems and workflows.
- Knowledge of scripting and automation (PowerShell, VBScript, etc.).
- Prior experience in large enterprise environments with 24/7 clinical operations.
- Soft-Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and clinical teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
