Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Applicants must reside in the Eastern Standard Time Zone
  • Associate degree in health information management or related field
  • Hospital inpatient coding proficiency with ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS
  • Knowledge of MS-DRG and APR-DRG reimbursement methodologies
  • 1 year of inpatient or outpatient coding experience
  • RHIA, RHIT, CCA, CCS, or CPC certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in health information management or related field preferred
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, HIM coding, reimbursement, and EHR systems preferred
  • Proficiency in report monitoring, data analysis, and identifying trends preferred
  • 3 years of coding experience preferred
  • 1 year of management experience preferred
  • RHIA or RHIT certification preferred
