About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- As an Interventional Radiology Technician (IR Tech), you will support a variety of IV surgical procedures.
- Set up the angiographic suite for each IV procedure including preparing contrast and IV solutions, calculating fluids and contrast materials and assembling supplies.
- Communicate with the patient about the procedure and address any concerns from them or their family.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed formal radiologic technology training at an AMA approved school or a school that is accredited through the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).
- Must be registered by the ARRT
- Additional registry in cardiovascular /interventional.
