About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- MRI Technologists make a significant difference in a patient’s care.
- Delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging allows providers to make informed decisions regarding patient treatment and management.
- In this role, you will select proper technical factors based on procedure, diagnosis, age, size, weight and anatomical differences and general health status of patients.
- You must demonstrate the knowledge to identify educational needs, obtain a patient’s history, and use easily understood terminology for explaining procedures and care to patients.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED
- Must be registered by the ARRT.
- If registry eligible, must pass registry within one year of accepting the position.
- Must be licensed by state where required or ARDMS (American registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) or NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board).
- Current CPR
