  • In this role, you will select proper technical factors based on procedure, diagnosis, age, size, weight and anatomical differences and general health status of patients.
  • You must demonstrate the knowledge to identify educational needs, obtain a patient’s history, and use easily understood terminology for explaining procedures and care to patients.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be registered by the ARRT.
  • If registry eligible, must pass registry within one year of accepting the position.
  • Must be licensed by state where required or ARDMS (American registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) or NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board).
  • Current CPR
