About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Travel extensively to repair, maintain and start-up specified Bartelt Packaging equipment
  • Provide a communication link between the customer and the Company
  • Installation, integration, repair and troubleshooting of flexible machinery
  • Ensure established inspection, testing, quality and operating specifications are met
  • Direct and oversee customer’s personnel during plant machinery installations and integrations or servicing
  • May provide on-site customizing of machine programs
  • Maintain a 24-hour on-call status and provide customer technical telephone support
  • Provide factory floor support when not providing customer field service support/travel
  • Provide customer training regarding the operation & service of machinery
  • Assist customers with aftermarket parts needs while in the field

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Technical, Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in machinery repair
  • Knowledge/skills of mechanical principles
  • Willing to travel extensively within the US and internationally
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Proficiency in Windows & MS software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent customer service skills; ability to train customer personnel on equipment
  • Prefer experience in flexible packaging material machinery
  • PLC programming experience preferred
  • Familiarity with PLC/PC systems helpful
