Field Service Technician
ProMachField Service Technician traveling to repair, maintain, and start-up Bartelt Packaging equipment. Providing excellent customer service and support with a focus on technical skills and solutions.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Travel extensively to repair, maintain and start-up specified Bartelt Packaging equipment
- Provide a communication link between the customer and the Company
- Installation, integration, repair and troubleshoot flexible machinery
- Ensure all established inspection, testing, quality and operating specifications are met
- Direct and/or oversee customer’s personnel during installations and integrations
- Maintain a 24-hour on-call status and provide customer technical telephone support
- Provide customer training regarding the operation & service of our machinery
- Assist customers with aftermarket parts needs while in the field
Requirements
What you’ll need- Technical, Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience in machinery repair
- Knowledge/skills of mechanical principles
- Willingness to travel extensively within the US and internationally
- Good communication & interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service focus
- Proficiency in Windows & MS software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to train customer personnel on equipment
- Prefer experience in flexible packaging material machinery
- PLC programming experience preferred
- Familiarity with PLC/PC systems helpful
