About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead end-to-end GC RFP execution: timelines, bid packages, instructions to bidders, Q&A, agenda, submissions, and compliance
- Coordinate GC prequalification and bidder lists to ensure competitive coverage and qualified participation
- Drive consistent sourcing practices using standardized templates, tools, and workflows
- Analyze and normalize GC proposals for apples-to-apples comparisons including: Divisional scope breakdowns (CSI format), General conditions, Fee structures, Contingencies, Allowances
- Identify scope gaps, overlaps, exclusions, and risk items
- Deliver clear, decision-ready recommendations to Development and Construction leaders
- Support development of internal cost intelligence datasets to improve benchmarking and cost visibility
- Partner with Capital Deployment, Construction/Development Management, and Procurement category managers to support selection decisions and contract readiness
- Communicate decision-ready insights to stakeholders with clear narratives and recommendations
- Support contractor research, qualification, and regional coverage strategies; contribute to supplier performance inputs and feedback loops
- Maintain sourcing documentation and bid data foundations; drive continuous improvement of sourcing processes and reporting
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of direct experience in commercial construction, including one or more of the following: GC or Developer preconstruction, Commercial estimating, Construction project management, Owner-side capital project procurement
- Experience working on industrial, warehouse, office, retail, data center, or large-scale commercial projects
- Direct exposure to GC bid breakdowns including general conditions, fees, contingencies, allowances, and divisional scopes
- Experience participating in or leading competitive GC RFP processes
- Strong understanding of commercial construction sequencing and how projects are built
- Hands-on experience running competitive GC RFP/RFQ processes and coordinating multiple stakeholders and deadlines
- Strong ability to interpret and structure construction bid data, perform bid leveling, and create decision-ready outputs
- Advanced Excel skills (bid tabs, scenario comparisons, normalization); strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical/commercial inputs into clear recommendations
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment and work across U.S. time zones
- Willingness to travel as needed
