About the role

  • Support for over 130 employees across five sites in Germany
  • IT environment: modern infrastructure with multiple VM clusters (over 230 VMs, Windows/Linux) connected to a SAN
  • Planning, provisioning, operation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure, IT services and systems
  • Ensuring smooth operation of IT infrastructure and services
  • Ensuring IT security
  • Evaluating, configuring and implementing system extensions to meet new requirements
  • Organizing IT procurement as well as supplier and resource management

Requirements

  • Completed degree in an IT-related field or equivalent vocational training
  • Professional experience in system and network administration
  • Technical knowledge in the following areas: network & system management (VLAN, routing, switching)
  • Network security (firewall, network segmentation, access control)
  • Virtualization (VMware)
  • Advantageous experience: IT security (SIEM, centralized logging), Windows Server or Linux Server (Ubuntu), mail services (MS Exchange, Postfix)
