About the role
- Responsible for configuration, implementation and maintenance of various systems, focusing on administration of system users, roles, health, performance, and efficiency.
- Manage and configure system environments, ensuring optimal performance.
- Perform regular system health checks and routine maintenance; coordinate with related IT teams to ensure backups are operational and secure required data.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain security controls, access permissions, and system logs.
- Monitor, plan and coordinate the distribution of client/server software and service packs.
- Perform basic systems security administration functions, including creating customer profiles and accounts.
- Monitor and manage system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage and tape backup systems; perform system backups and recovery procedures.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work.
Requirements
- BSc degree in Computer Engineering or any related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in system/network administration.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent knowledge in deploying, managing, and maintaining containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, including monitoring pods, scaling deployments, and handling configuration changes.
- Good knowledge in Site-to-Site (IPSec) and Remote Access VPN (SSL, PPTP,...etc).
- Good knowledge in Microsoft Windows Server, LINUX and Hypervisors (KVM, ESX, and OVM).
- Good knowledge in Storage (i.e. SAN, NAS, and Object Storages and Networks).
- Good knowledge in Virtualized and Cloud Networks and Infrastructure.
- Good knowledge in Web Servers (IIS and Tomcat) and deployment of Web Applications.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent command of English language.
