HR and Field Operations Deputy Director

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support hiring process, including reviewing payroll forms and completing initial onboarding meetings
- Coordinate and confirm pay details, and track compliance details for budget purposes
- Assist with state reporting requirements as needed
- Assist in conducting regular check-ins, performance evaluations, and coaching conversations for Regional Organizing Directors and field organizers
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and professional development of organizing staff
- Help develop systems for organizer evaluation and accountability
- In coordination with the Executive Director and National Field Director, manage operations duties including but not limited to: office location identification and set up, field materials tracking and ordering, interfacing with field team to identify materials needs.
- Assist Executive Director in day to day operations of program including but not limited to research, candidate tracking, and state of the race updates.
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 2 cycles of leading operations in a campaign environment
- Familiarity with campaign management, preferably with a field focus
- Ability to manage several tasks and projects concurrently and to prioritize work effectively
- Experience working across departments to develop solutions
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Drive)
- Experience in hiring, onboarding/offboarding, and coordinating payroll details
- Ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
- Available to work weekends and evenings during initial phases; weekends and evening work will be required during GOTV phase
