About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own Four's organic growth strategy end-to-end — full-funnel from awareness to install to first order to repeat purchase — and translate company goals into a growth roadmap with measurable targets
  • Own the brand-as-growth thesis: move Four from "a payment app" to a brand shoppers choose to follow, grounded in how people — with a heavy emphasis on Gen Z and emerging customer segments — actually discover and stick with brands
  • Make Four's unique product offerings clear to shoppers — what Four does today and what's coming next — and articulate how Four differs from the competition and why it's the ideal way for people to pay
  • Define the audiences, cultural territories, and content pillars that earn attention, and decide where to lean in, where to experiment, and where to walk away
  • Partner with the broader team to connect growth initiatives to real business outcomes — installs, activated shoppers, and revenue, not vanity metrics
  • Own and extend Four's automated content pipeline — real-time trend intelligence, content-brief generation, AI video and carousel production, compliance gating, and delivery — so it reliably produces the right content at the right moment
  • Run a daily content motion across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and emerging channels, keeping quality and cultural relevance high while volume scales
  • Continuously improve the engine — output quality, production cost, compliance coverage — so every run is better than the last, and document the playbooks and learnings in four-os so the system appreciates over time
  • Evaluate and adopt emerging AI creation tools, and fold the ones that earn their place into the pipeline
  • Own Four's brand voice and visual identity in practice — the standard for what Four sounds and looks like across every customer touchpoint
  • Grow and engage Four's social communities, building a genuine two-way layer (community management and on-brand, compliant engagement) rather than a one-way broadcast
  • Lead the organic engagement-and-recovery playbook that rebuilds reach and turns the audience into a community
  • Use social listening across channels to understand what shoppers love, what confuses them, and what they wish Four did — and feed those insights back to Product so the experience keeps improving and the install base grows more easily
  • Build and run Four's creator and influencer program — identify and brief the right micro-creators, activate them, manage budget, and turn social proof into reach Four can't manufacture on its own
  • Define the metrics that matter — reach, engagement, install, conversion, creator efficiency — and build the reporting that gives the team real-time visibility into what's working
  • Run a disciplined test-and-learn loop: form a hypothesis, ship it, read the result, and scale, iterate, or kill on evidence
  • Partner with paid acquisition and data on attribution and ROAS so every growth decision is grounded in real unit economics
  • Partner closely with Compliance and Legal so that regulatory requirements — FTC endorsement and advertising guidelines, state disclosure rules, and BNPL-specific obligations — are built into the content workflow as a seamless step, not a bottleneck
  • Maintain an auditable record of marketing approvals, and keep the pipeline's automated compliance guardrails current as rules evolve

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field — or equivalent demonstrated capability
  • Demonstrated experience owning a modern marketing motion end-to-end — building content systems, running social channels, and shipping real campaigns through an internship, a personal venture, or a prior role
  • Hands-on fluency with AI tools as build instruments: you orchestrate them to produce finished work and entire systems, not just casual prompting
  • A portfolio of shipped work — content that went live, systems you built, and results you can point to
  • Comfortable with technology-company tools: Git, Jira, Slack, and similar platforms are part of your workflow
  • A bias toward going and getting the data you need to make a decision, rather than waiting for someone to hand it to you
