About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own a portfolio of enterprise prospects and customers, driving both new business acquisition and expansion opportunities
- Manage complex sales cycles from initial engagement through contract negotiation and close
- Develop relationships with senior business and technical stakeholders, including CIOs, Heads of AI, Digital Transformation leaders, and business executives
- Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets across inbound and expansion pipeline opportunities
- Maintain accurate forecasting, opportunity progression, and pipeline management within CRM systems
- Engage with organizations evaluating enterprise AI initiatives and identify high-value use cases for Agentic RAG
- Conduct consultative discovery conversations to understand business objectives, knowledge challenges, and strategic priorities
- Deliver compelling demonstrations showcasing how AI-powered experiences can drive measurable business outcomes
- Position advanced capabilities and emerging use cases that align with customers' digital transformation initiatives
- Help customers navigate organizational and technical considerations associated with AI adoption
- Respond rapidly to inbound interest generated through marketing campaigns, product trials, and demo requests
- Monitor user engagement signals and proactively engage high-intent prospects demonstrating strong buying indicators
- Accelerate evaluation processes by removing technical, organizational, or process barriers to adoption
- Partner closely with Solutions Engineers and Customer Success teams to optimize conversion and customer outcomes
- Identify growth opportunities within existing customers based on evolving business needs and product adoption trends
- Lead conversations around additional use cases, expanded deployments, and enterprise-wide adoption strategies
- Collaborate with Customer Success to maximize customer value realization and long-term partnership growth
- Position complementary solutions and higher-value offerings that support broader AI initiatives
- Gather competitive intelligence and market insights from customer interactions
- Provide direct feedback to Product Management on emerging customer requirements and market opportunities
- Partner with Marketing to refine messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies
- Help define repeatable sales motions, success stories, and best practices that will shape the future growth of the business
- Contribute to building and scaling a category-defining AI business within Progress
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of full-cycle SaaS sales experience, with a strong preference for backgrounds in AI, Data & Analytics, Enterprise Software, Cloud, or Platform technologies
- Demonstrated success selling into mid-market and enterprise organizations, navigating complex buying processes and multiple stakeholders
- Experience engaging executive audiences and translating technical capabilities into business outcomes
- Proven ability to uncover customer challenges through a consultative selling approach rather than transactional selling techniques
- Experience working in both direct sales environments and partner-led motions
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand customer priorities and develop strategic account plans
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret product usage patterns and buying signals
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and modern sales engagement tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences
- A builder mentality, comfort operating in evolving environments, and enthusiasm for helping define new go-to-market motions
