About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Process payroll transactions, including regular pay, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions, in accordance with established timelines and procedures
  • Review and validate payroll data for accuracy; identify and resolve discrepancies using standard practices
  • Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data integrity across systems
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations by applying established policies and guidelines
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and IT to support payroll-related processes and data alignment
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll in a timely and service-oriented manner
  • Assist with payroll audits, reporting, and documentation requests
  • Support year-end payroll activities (e.g., W-2 preparation) under guidance
  • Contribute to process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and recommending enhancements within defined scope

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2–4 years of payroll or related experience (accounting, HR operations, or finance preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Workday, or similar
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data validation techniques
  • Foundational understanding of payroll processes and basic compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with multistate payroll concepts preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Effective problem-solving using established procedures
  • Clear communication skills for responding to employee and stakeholder inquiries
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • High level of discretion with sensitive employee data
