Operations Finance Manager
Progress Residential®Manager, Operations Finance supporting construction activities for a leading property manager of single-family rental homes. Driving financial performance and operational efficiency in construction activities.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Director of Finance - Market Operations and partner closely with Operations leadership to drive financial visibility, cost performance, and operational efficiency across Construction activities.
- Analyze construction cost performance, monitoring timelines, evaluating scope cost variances versus actual results, and identifying opportunities for cost improvement.
- Support labor forecasting for the Construction team, tracking and reporting on key performance indicators, and providing actionable insights into business performance.
- Automate reporting and improve analytical processes to deliver faster, more effective decision support.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in finance, operations finance, FP&A, or related analytical roles.
- Strong knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Experience analyzing operational or construction-related costs preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with process automation and reporting improvement.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence business partners at multiple levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex financial and operational data into clear business insights.
- Experience supporting Construction, Field Operations, or Market Operations teams.
- Familiarity with KPI development and performance management reporting.
- Experience with business intelligence or automation tools is a plus.
