About the role
- Assist the Case Management department in the administration of CM functions
- Conduct telephonic outreach to members and monitor their eligibility
- Update database information and research support services for families
- Support Case Managers by developing communication with members
- Document member and provider information in medical management database
- Complete scripted introduction calls to Provider offices
- Transfer questions of a clinical nature to Nurse Case Manager
- Attend and participate in Quality Improvement meetings and training sessions
Requirements
- Must reside in one of the following time zones: CST/MST and/or PST
- 1 – 3 years of experience in customer service in a healthcare environment
- Bilingual (Spanish speaking) is preferred
- HS diploma or equivalent required
- College degree preferred
- Call center (outbound) experience strongly preferred
- Spanish speaking preferred
- Insurance/payor experience preferred
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Problem solving skills with the ability to look for root causes and implementable, workable solutions
- Must be proficient at an intermediate to advanced level in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, & Word
- Must be self-motivated and willing to learn multiple tasks
- Must be well-organized and able to prioritize tasks
- Must have commitment to excellence in customer service.
