About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare for and attend client meetings
  • Responsible for post meeting actions including file note, financial plans, and suitability reports
  • Delivery of financial plans and advice in accordance with Progeny’s regulatory standards and rules
  • Provision and implementation of suitable private client (retail) financial advice to meet agreed activity targets
  • Maintain professional working relationships with clients and attend client social activities
  • Develop appropriate technical and market awareness knowledge
  • Create cash flow models as part of the delivery of financial planning advice
  • Comply with compliance and administrative policy and procedures
  • Complete Continuous Professional Development to meet regulatory requirements and personal development needs
  • Advise own clients without direct supervision
  • Adhere to the firm’s certification regime and T&C scheme requirements
  • Adhere to the Company’s business principles, high standard of ethics and treating customers fairly obligations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Excellent client service experience
  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
  • Experience working within paraplanning and providing financial advisory solutions to clients
  • Experience of using cash flow modelling tools
  • Experience of using research tools
  • Excellent working knowledge of key areas of financial planning and advice including:
  • - Investment planning
  • - Pre/at retirement planning
  • - Personal and business protection
  • - Estate planning
  • Knowledge and understanding of FCA conduct of business rules and suitability requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Ability to work under pressure to deadlines, ensuring accuracy and high levels of attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Ability to interpret complex planning and explain it clearly to clients and in reports
  • Ability to calculate figures and compile data
