About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Monitor the SIEM for alerts across multiple customers and time zones
Triage alerts from various log sources and identify their root causes
Provide suggested fixes for detected security issues
Analyze and report security threats in customers’ networks
Utilize multiple security consoles and technologies
Address and manage the aftermath of security breaches or cyberattacks
Limit damage, reduce recovery time and costs, and return systems to normal
Create threat intelligence to understand threats targeting customers
Use threat intelligence to prepare for, prevent, and identify cyber threats
Integrate security practices into DevOps to bridge traditional IT and security gaps
Ensure fast, safe delivery of services

Requirements

What you’ll need

Education and experience equivalent to the years’ experience requirement of each position level in both networking and cybersecurity
Information Security Analyst II: 2-4+ years’ experience
Previous work with SIEM technologies receiving and triaging alerts from various log sources
Continuous learning and passion for defensive cybersecurity
Ability to use available resources efficiently
Advanced problem-solving skills for emerging security attack scenarios
Strong foundation in Linux operating systems
Scripting skills, preferably in Python
Experience with security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, including troubleshooting documentation and required responses
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict response-time SLAs
