About the role

Lead and produce system-level EMC/EMI analysis and tests at satellite level for commercial applications
Perform conducted and radiated EMC/EMI analysis considering mission requirements and payload coupling
Evaluate unit specifications, spacecraft cavity geometry, MLI placement, and units’ arrangement on panels
Analyze coupling effects between DC and RF connections and assess spacecraft panel shielding effectiveness
Support writing and reviewing EMC/EMI satellite test plans
Produce CE/CS analysis (satellite auto-compatibility), RE/RS RF analysis (satellite auto-compatibility), and RE/RS analysis for launch vehicle compatibility
Perform magnetic, surface charging, and internal charging analyses

An experienced EMC/EMI system engineer (SME) with experience on conducted and radiated EMC/EMI analysis & tests at satellite level (for commercial application)
Hands-on experience producing system-level analysis
Understanding of mission requirements (frequency bands of operation, type of payloads, coupling between antennas)
Knowledge of unit specs, spacecraft cavity geometry, MLI location, units’ arrangement on spacecraft panels
Understanding of coupling effects between DC and RF connections and units
Experience evaluating spacecraft panel shielding effectiveness
Experience writing/reviewing EMC/EMI satellite test plans
Ability to produce CE/CS, RE/RS RF analyses and launch-vehicle compatibility analyses
Experience with magnetic analysis, surface charging analysis, and internal charging analysis
