Monitoring team progress and performance, while ensuring timely project completion
Providing invoices and invoicing summaries
Assist in hiring and onboarding transcribers, while following company-established onboarding procedures
Administering and grading language verification tests, as well as revising and enhancing tests as needed
Training and providing support for transcribers
During down time, utilize company transcription program to transcribe alongside transcribers to help progression of project
Troubleshoot alongside Team Services Manager and department Operations Coordinator to resolve any issues reported by transcribers during their work, such as bad data, technical issues, etc
Requirements
Full proficiency in the Mandarin Chinese (Simplified) language (ISO: cmn_Hans_CN )
Professional work experience in Linguistics, Translation, Transcription or localization, strongly preferred
Proficiency in computer and internet skills
Competency on both MAC and PC platforms, Microsoft Applications, and G Suite
Strong grammar, orthography, and punctuation skills; a proficiency test will be required
Responsive with timely email access
Effective web search skills
Ability to onboard within two weeks
Preferred, experience using Upwork
