About the role
- Field based position working independently to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain chemical dispensing equipment and other commercial foodservice or laundry equipment
- Deliver exceptional service (not sales) to achieve customer retention and superior customer service
- Operate laptop and phone to input and access data; use Salesforce and Microsoft Office
- Travel to accounts (approx. 30% of the day), including city, rural and expressway conditions; occasional overnight travel
- Work schedule typically 5 days/week, 8 hours/day but may include 12-hour shifts, weekends, and night shifts
- Perform physical tasks: lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs, climb ladders/stairs, stand/walk long periods, kneel, squat, crawl
- Provide on-call coverage including occasional weekends, holidays, and night shifts
- Follow safety protocols and recognize equipment alarms and evacuation signals
Requirements
- Great work ethic and a willingness to learn new skills with provided training
- Basic understanding in electronics, plumbing, maintenance or mechanical systems
- Ability to troubleshoot with root cause analysis
- Moderate working knowledge of appropriate tools, data, implements and service needs
- Proficient in laptop and cell phone technology to include but not limited to Salesforce, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Candidate must have a valid driver’s license
- Occasional overnight travel is required
- Lift, lower and carry objects up to 50 lbs; push and pull objects up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb a vertical ladder and stairs; stand, sit, and/or walk for long periods; twist, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and reach
- Ability to give and discern various visual and audible alarms and signals
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and spend approximately 30% of the day traveling
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures and warehouse conditions with dust and dirt
- Candidate must live in specified city
- On-call coverage which may include occasional weekends, holidays, and night shifts
